American Oak Ex-Islay Cask Finish

Matured for 5 years in two ex-American oak lightly peated Hillrock casks and finished for three months in an Islay quarter cask.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Caramel, molasses and a clean, creamy peat smoke with dry ash and a touch of tobacco.

Palate: Iodine and gentle smoke, lifted by a light candy–citrus fizz. Warm embers and creamy custard emerge as it opens.

Finish: Briny and coastal with seaweed, a subtle waft of industrial smoke, ash and earth. A red-hot steak-iron note cools and fades into warm charcoal and lingering peat.
